Writing a Letter to the President or a CongressmanSubmitted: February 18, 2003 It's often easier to motivate children to write if they feel like the writing serves some purpose. Writing to the President or to a Congressman can be a good exercise for reluctant writers, because they can feel that their writing may actually accomplish something. This can be appealing to all kids, but especially to gifted kids who are often highly sensitive to world problems but feel powerless to do anything about them. Thanks to: Sheila Ruth |
