I am not really a homeschooler, because my daughter is only 2-but this worked great for us. We decided to memorize a Bible verse every week-put to song or in a rhythmic manner. This was accomplished easily by my daughter, and she now knows many verses by heart and can recite them as well as the reference.

She also completes verses and sentences that I begin. (For example: I say Love the Lord your God... and She says "With all your heart")
